BATTERY:
The iPhone 12 Pro Max’s battery was also one of its key features when released — it actually made the phone stand out. Its battery life is great at 3,687 mAh. In battery life, when used to watch videos, it can last as long as 20 hours. Its charging is also fast — it takes only 30 minutes to charge from 0% to 50%. It can last the entire day with normal usage, and with full usage, it typically needs to be charged at night. It also doesn’t get that hot.
DESIGN:
Apple launched the iPhone 12 Pro Max with an entirely new design aesthetic at the time, which drew a lot of attention from people.
iPhone 12 Pro Max’s design features premium materials — it features a stainless steel frame and a Ceramic Shield front that Apple says is four times more durable than the glass before. The back of the iPhone 12 Pro Max is made of matte glass. Its screen size is 6.7 inches, which was the biggest screen ever on an iPhone at that time. It has four colors: Pacific Blue, Gold, Silver, and Graphite. Due to the stainless steel frame, it is slightly heavier at 228 grams. It also features water- and dust-resistance.
RAM:
The iPhone 12 Pro Max contains a total of 6 GB of RAM. It was Apple’s inaugural phone to come equipped with 6 GB of RAM, while the previous iPhone models and iPhone mini models came with only 4 GB of RAM. Due to the 6 GB RAM, the iPhone 12 Pro Max can multitask quite smoothly and run heavy apps and games smoothly.
DISPLAY:
The iPhone 12 Pro Max sported Apple’s largest and most powerful screen at the moment. Its 6.7-inch screen was the biggest iPhone screen ever. Its resolution is 1284×2778 pixels, and for protection, Apple applied a Ceramic Shield at the front, meaning the glass is more than four times stronger.
One of the most notable features of its screen is that the colors appear extremely sharp and natural. The screen is so bright that it is still easily visible outdoors in the sunlight, unlike in most phones. It also has HDR support, and due to its huge screen size, gaming on it feels a lot more comfortable.
FINAL VERDICT
The iPhone 12 Pro Max was the strongest and premium iPhone of its era. If you wish for a large screen, a great camera, and long-term performance, then this phone is simply ideal for you. I have used it myself, and I would also say that if you require a camera and video-capturing phone, then you must go for this phone.
If you are looking for a high-end iPhone whose features and appearance are all great, then this phone is still a great recommendation today.
PROS :
- Its huge screen is the best for gaming, streaming, and multitasking.
- And its video quality is great because it has a LiDAR sensor, so the photos taken in Night Mode are sharp, clear, and with natural colors.
- Another plus point is its battery life — even with intense YouTube usage, it can comfortably last the entire day.
- Its color options are also extremely impressive — such as Pacific Blue and Gold, which are high-end colors that many users actually love.
CONS :
- Its biggest flaw is its huge size and the fact that it feels extremely heavy.
- Its cost is also a drawback because it was very costly when it was launched, and even now, it is quite costly.
- Another downside is that Apple has removed the charger from the phone’s packaging. They had to purchase the charger separately, which was a lot of inconvenience.
- Another downside is that it lacks the option of a microSD card.
